From the Principal's Desk

Dear St. James Families,

As we move into fall, I am reminded that so much of what makes St. James unique and special is found in the people who make up our community. From those who care for our buildings and students to those who volunteer their time and pass on the faith to the next generation, we are surrounded by people who give of themselves in countless ways.

I would first like to recognize Christina Green, Ellen Johnson, Mariana Magallanes, Leonel Sanchez, Marbella Garcia, Jose and Diana Basurto, and Maria Guerrero. These are just a few members of our St. James family who helped make our auction such a wonderful success. Their time, generosity, and willingness to serve remind us that our school is strengthened by people who give of themselves for the good of the community. We are truly grateful for them and for everyone who helped make the evening so special.

We are also grateful for our custodians, Javier and Antonia Cruz, a wonderful married couple and parishioners of St. Pat's. They shared with me that when they are not working, they enjoy volunteering at their parish. I could see that this spirit of service is genuine. Again, we are blessed to have people who give so generously of themselves to their church, community, and family.

Yet another blessing St. James has received is Jessica Fisher, our new administrative assistant, who has already become a wonderful addition to our school community. Jessica had a wonderful first week and did a great job managing the many things that come through the office each day. We are grateful to have her as part of the St. James family. If you need to reach Jessica, you can contact her at [email protected].

Finally, while an agreement has not yet been finalized, we are hopeful that we will soon welcome another wonderful person to St. James as our maintenance technician. This candidate has good recommendations and we would be delighted to have them join our team.

Please keep these wonderful people in your prayers. May God continue to bless them abundantly for the many ways they serve our St. James community and share His love with others.

Have a blessed weekend everybody!

Mr. McDonnell
