Dear Community of Saint James,
When you think of St. James, do you think of a parish, a school, or both? We are at our best when we are united in the one mission of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am writing first and foremost to thank all of the parishioners of St. James for your continued support. Our school could not exist without the financial support you provide, nor could it exist without all the volunteer hours so many of you spend to enrich the education of our students. We pray we will be ever further enlightened as to the best use of each and every cent and minute that you entrust to us. Again, thank you all so much.
Next week is an exhilarating time for us. It is Catholic Schools Week! There are various activities planned each day that range from games, to spiritual enrichment, to service projects. Please pray for us as we enjoy a time of enlivened spirits and altered schedules! It's a great week to schedule a tour of our building and see what we have to offer. You can call or email any time to let us know when you would like to come by.
Big picture, we are most looking forward to implementing a new writing curriculum across our building. We are going to complete a series of professional development sessions on how to teach students to write, and eventually we will be ready to roll out the curriculum for grades K-8. Writing is a subject we have always taken seriously at St. James, and we are excited about the opportunity to dive even deeper.
Sincerely,
James Hosler
Dean of School
Saint James Catholic School
